Analysis of Component Blood Transfusion in A Guangdong Hospital from 2013 to 2015

Objective By understanding the hospital’s composition of the blood using from the year 2013 to 2015, to provide reference for blood transfusion department, improve the quality of the clinical use and evaluate the hospital blood management. Methods Analyzed the blood using condition of the hospital from the year 2013 to 2015. Results In the recent 3 years, the hospital blood transfusion department through effective management, made the hospital’s blood consumption declined,the total blood consumption in 2013 was 138 631.5 U, and it declined to 114 845.75U in 2015.Blood consumption structure becomes more reasonable. The ratio of the red blood cell / plasma values rises year by year, as it was 0.51 in 2013 and grew to 0.72 in 2015. Cardiac surgery has the biggest blood consumption at the hospital. Conclusion The hospital using effective blood management, such as exercising strict control over blood transfusion indication, autologous blood transfusion and thrombus elastic figure,made the hospital’s blood consumption declined and the structure of component blood using more reasonable, thus relieving the tense situation of blood supply and improving the level of medical treatment, which has the vital significance.
