The Correlation between Quantitative Parameters of Real-Time Ultrasound and Liver Fibrosis Stage

    • Objective To explore the correlation between quantitative parameters of real-time ultrasound and liver fibrosis stage, and to screen the quantitative parameters closely related to the degree of fibrosis. Methods The quantitative parameters were obtained from 106 patients with chronic hepatitis B, and compared with the pathological staging of liver fibrosis. The relationship between quantitative parameters and liver fibrosis stage was analyzed by Spearman rank correlation analysis, the diagnostic value was analyzed by ROC curve analysis. Results Spearman rank correlation analysis showed that the correlation coefficients of AREA and MEAN were the largest in the eleven elastic quantitative parameters, and were -0.79, 0.84 (P<0.01), image real-time tissue elasticity score was F0, greater than or equal to F1, greater than or equal to F2, greater than or equal to F3, and F4, ROC area under the MEAN and AREA were 0.92, 0.93; 0.93, 0.92; 0.93, 0.91; 0.94, 0.94. Conclusion Real-time ultrasonic quantitative parameters can be used to evaluate the degree of liver fibrosis. The correlation between AREA and MEAN and the pathologic stage is the most significant, thus indicating good diagnostic value. The ROC area under the MEAN and AREA were larger than 0.9, and the diagnosis value of liver fibrosis stage was high.
