    Assessment of Pain Measurements’ Response Patterns

    • Pain is a subjective, complex personal experience. The measurement and evaluation of pain have always been great challenges during the procedure of clinical practice. In this article we comprehensively elaborated the response patterns of various pain measurement instruments, including their advantages and disadvantages. We analyzed possible impacts on the results of pain evaluation due to different response patterns. A thorough understanding of the response patterns of pain measurements shall facilitate the rationality of choice and scientificity of evaluation when these instruments are applied in clinical practice or scientific researches.
