Dose-Dense Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy for Breast Cancer

    • Dose-dense chemotherapy is a strategy to reduce the interval between each dose of chemotherapy with the same amount of drug and to achieve the maximal effectiveness of chemotherapy. Several trials have demonstrated that dose-dense adjuvant chemotherapy could achieve longer disease-free survival and overall survival comparing with conventionally-dosed chemotherapy. However, the value of dose-dense neoadjuvant chemotherapy is currently not clear. This review aims to outline the theoretical base of dose-dense chemotherapy and to summarize the progress of dose-dense neoadjuvant chemotherapy for breast cancer.
