Abstract:
Objective To explore the effects of flipped classroom in ECG teaching for refresher doctors.
Method 78 refresher doctors who studied in Guangdong General Hospital Electrocardiogram Scan Room from 2014 Jan to 2015 Dec were divided into 2 groups, 40 refresher doctors in the experimental group who received flipped classroom and 38 refresher doctors in the control group who received traditional ECG teaching. The effect of this two teaching methods was compared through testing on the theoretical knowledge and clinical ECG case analysis.
Result At the end of the training, refresher doctors in the experimental group got higher scores than those in the control group in theoretical knowledge exam (35.05±2.59) vs. (33.42±2.47), but there was no statistical difference (P=0.67), and obviously higher scores in clinical ECG case analysis(54.90±2.44)vs. (49.53±4.02),P=0.01.
Conclusion Flipped classroom can improve the subjective initiative of refresher doctors in ECG teaching and the ability of applying theoretical knowledge into clinical practice of ECG analysis.
